Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (6year) to spearhead our full-stack development initiatives. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, requiring expertise in both backend (Java Spring Boot) and frontend

(React.js/Next.js) technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for architectural design, technical decision-making, and leading a team of 4 software engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Design and architect robust backend systems using Java Spring Boot
- Design and implement contemporary, responsive frontend applications using React.js and

Next.js
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines for the team
- Make critical technology decisions and evaluate new tools and frameworks
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across the stack
- Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Own the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business objectives

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 software engineers
- Conduct regular 1-on-1s and provide constructive feedback
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new team members




- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture

Hands-On Development
- Contribute to backend development using Java Spring Boot
- Contribute to frontend development using React.js and Next.js
- Debug complex technical issues across the full stack
- Implement critical features and systems
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability

Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

EXTERNAL USE

- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies
- Document architectural decisions and technical specifications
- Provide technical estimates and project planning input

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Backend: 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot framework
- Frontend: 3+ years of experience with React.js; experience with Next.js required
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library)
