Trainopaedia is looking for experienced freelance Microsoft Excel trainers to facilitate practical, application-focused training programs for students and working professionals.

The programs are designed to help participants use Microsoft Excel more effectively for academic, professional, and workplace requirements, while also learning how AI tools can support them in building formulas, troubleshooting errors, cleaning and analysing data, automating repetitive tasks, and improving reporting efficiency.

Please Note

This assignment is not suitable for trainers who primarily conduct lecture-based or PowerPoint-driven sessions.

We are specifically looking for facilitators who can teach through live demonstrations, guided practice, exercises, and problem-solving.

AI should be integrated wherever it genuinely improves Excel productivity and learning. It should complement, rather than replace, a strong understanding of Excel fundamentals.

This is a freelance/assignment-based opportunity and may lead to recurring training engagements with Trainopaedia.

Participants may include:

- College and university students
- Fresh graduates preparing for employment
- Entry-level employees
- Working professionals with varying levels of experience
- Supervisors and team members from functions such as Operations, Sales, Support, Supply Chain, Administration, Finance, and MIS

Participants may have different levels of Excel proficiency, so facilitators should be comfortable adapting their approach to mixed-experience groups.

What We Are Looking For

Apply if most of the following describe you:

- Strong hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Practical knowledge of commonly used Excel functions, formulas, PivotTables, charts, data cleaning, and reporting
- Familiarity with advanced Excel capabilities such as XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, Macros, or similar productivity tools
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to create, troubleshoot, and optimise Excel formulas and workflows
- Prior experience facilitating Excel training for students,



working professionals, corporate teams, or educational institutions
- Solid facilitation skills with an interactive and practice-oriented approach
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for participants with different levels of proficiency
- Ability to connect Excel concepts with real-life academic and workplace applications
- Comfortable managing mixed-experience groups
- Ability to contextualise exercises and examples according to participant requirements
- Willingness to work within defined learning objectives, session plans, and program outcomes
- Comfortable travelling to training locations when required (travel assisted by clients)

The facilitator will be expected to:

- Deliver instructor-led Excel training sessions of approximately 3–6 hours per day
- Conduct live Excel demonstrations
- Facilitate guided exercises and hands-on practice
- Help participants solve realistic Excel problems
- Demonstrate appropriate use of AI for Excel-related tasks
- Teach participants how to write effective AI prompts for Excel use cases
- Use examples relevant to students as well as workplace scenarios, depending on the audience
- Address Excel and AI-related questions during the session
- Maintain an interactive and experiential learning environment
- Follow the agreed training structure and learning objectives
- Share a concise post-session facilitator report with the program coordinator, wherever required

Selection Process Step 1: Profiles will be reviewed based on relevant Excel expertise and facilitation experience.

Step 2: Shortlisted facilitators will participate in a brief alignment discussion.

Selected candidates will proceed to a virtual interview and presentation/demo round.

The presentation round (Virtual or In-person) may require the facilitator to demonstrate how they would teach a practical Excel concept to a group of students /working professionals/panel.

Compensation

₹8,000–₹15,000 per training day for approximately 3–6 hours of facilitation, depending on the facilitator's expertise, experience, location, and program requirements.
