If you've built something with an LLM that actually worked - and you can explain why the nine attempts before it didn't - this one's for you.
The attention economy - the games and apps people open in a queue, on a commute, in the ninety seconds before bed that turn into ninety minutes - is one of the largest consumer businesses still waiting to be rebuilt for AI. Not AI bolted onto something built in 2011. Rebuilt.
That's ChaosEngine Labs. We're doing it from Bangalore, with top-tier investors backing us, already live in production with real players & real revenue. We're a rapid-moving team of 10 - which means you'd own something very real from your first month.
There's a lot about what we're building that doesn't belong in a job post. That's the fun part.
Must have:
- Python or one language you know deeply. Code that runs unattended: handles failure, logs enough to debug at 2am, doesn't need you watching it.
- Fundamentals : data structures and complexity, enough to know why one approach is 100× slower than another and to pick the right one first time.
- Integration : someone else's API, someone else's docs, their rate limits and their outages. Never trusting the response.
- SQL : you check your own system's data yourself.
- Debugging : a stack trace worked backwards,
methodically, in a system you didn't write.
Strongly useful: JS/TS playables, interactive creative and internal tools run in a browser · building real things with Claude Code, Cursor or similar, with opinions about where they fail · tests and CI, so your work gets verified without a human watching · running code somewhere that isn't your laptop - a deployed service, a scheduled job, something that survives without you.
Not needed: gaming experience, a specific college, a high CGPA.
Why join:
- You'll sit beside operators who've owned $1B+ of revenue and marketing spends in this market
- Real ownership from Day 0
- Gaming × AI, where the scoreboard updates daily
- A company built for the post-AI era rather than retrofitted into it
Brownie points:
- You've owned something end-to-end on a consumer product that moved user behaviour
- You've built something with Claude that surprised even you
- You've rage-quit a game and then worked out exactly which knob they turned to make you do that
