We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to manage and control our own commercial vehicle fleet, ensure maximum vehicle utilization, achieve daily movement targets, and reduce operational delays and costs.
Experience: Minimum 2 + years in fleet operations / transportation / logistics, preferably with experience managing a large own fleet of trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s own truck fleet.
- Ensure maximum vehicle availability, utilization and fleet productivity.
- Monitor loading, unloading, transit and vehicle turnaround time .
- Track daily target vs achievement for vehicle movement and trips.
- Coordinate with drivers, plant teams, operations staff and maintenance team.
- Control diesel consumption, driver performance and operational expenses.
- Reduce vehicle detention, idle time, breakdown-related delays and route deviations.
- Ensure timely deployment and resumption of vehicles.
- Monitor GPS/live vehicle status and ensure accurate operational reporting.
- Analyze fleet performance and take corrective action to improve productivity and profitability.
