Position: Field Research Intern
Location: Recent Delhi (On-Site)

Expected Work: Interns are expected to contribute to Esya’s ongoing engagement and outreach for a project. Further details will be provided during the interview.
Duration: 1 month starting in September 2026. The role is field-based and is not an office position.
Preferred Profile
1. Students or recent graduates in any discipline. No policy background is required.
2. Based in Delhi NCR and able to travel independently across the city.
3. Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
4. Prior experience in fieldwork, survey administration, campus outreach, event organising, sales or
volunteering is preferred.
- Self-directed and persistent.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets.
Eligibility
- Applicants may come from any discipline: law, economics, commerce, sociology, political science,
public policy, engineering, science, management or otherwise.
This role does not require a prior policy background, and we prioritise aptitude for fieldwork over subject-matter expertise.
- Applicants must be based in Delhi-NCR for the duration of the internship and be able to travel
independently within the city. This is a field role and cannot be performed remotely.
- Applicants must be comfortable initiating conversations in Hindi and English with people they have
not met.
- Applicants must have a smartphone with a working mobile data connection that is used throughout
the day to record visits and outcomes.
- Applicants must be willing to keep accurate records, including those of unsuccessful visits.
- Applicants must apply for a minimum of 1 month, with at least 30 hours per week over five field days.
