Seeking a Dynamic Product Designer for a D2C brand based in Mumbai.
Job Responsibilities
- Ownership of the end-to-end garment development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring quality, commercial viability, and timely delivery.
- Development of patterns and garment engineering solutions to achieve optimal fit, comfort, and size consistency across kids’ age groups.
- Continuous fit refinement and measurement standardisation based on trials, customer insights, and market requirements.
- Driving product innovation and range development
- Ensuring production-friendly designs through optimised construction methods and explicit technical guidance to manufacturing teams.
- Validation of fabric consumption and CMT costing to maintain cost efficiency and margin control.
- Management of technical documentation
, including detailed spec sheets and production specifications.
- Reviewing fit trials, customer feedback, and order return data to ensure products meet brand standards in fit, durability,
and construction.
- Collaboration with design, sampling, sourcing, and production teams to ensure smooth development processes and alignment with launch and photoshoot timelines.
- Benchmark market and competitor products to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest fabric innovations, trims, and construction techniques in innerwear and essential categories.
Job Requirements
- NIFT-trained with a strong understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and fit analysis
.
- 2–5 years’ experience in innerwear or loungewear
.
- Strong technical grounding in knit fabrics and stretch-based products.
- Experience collaborating with sampling units and QC.
- Proficiency in
CAD preferred.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about innovation.
