Job Purpose To drive banquet and room revenue by identifying new business opportunities, developing corporate and social event business, building long-term client relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination for successful event execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate new business through market visits, client meetings, networking and referrals.
- Develop business from Corporate Accounts, Weddings, MICE, Social Events and Government/Institutional clients.
- Achieve monthly banquet and room revenue targets.
Sales & Client Management
- - Handle banquet enquiries and convert them into confirmed business.
- Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms and close business.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business.
Event Coordination
- - Coordinate with clients and internal departments for smooth event execution.
- Finalise event details including menus, guest count, timings and function requirements.
- Ensure Function Prospectus (FP) is shared with all concerned departments.
Cross Selling
- - Promote banquet packages along with guest rooms, meeting spaces and other hotel services to maximise overall revenue.
Reporting
- - Maintain enquiry pipeline, update CRM/PMS and submit daily/weekly sales reports.
- Monitor conversion ratios and follow up on all business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- - Graduate in Hotel Management/Hospitality/Business.
- 2-5 years experience in Hotel Sales, Banquet Sales, Corporate Sales or MICE Sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
