Job Purpose

Responsible for end to end delivery of changes in an application conceptualizing, gathering requirements, solution evaluation, design, build, test and maintain

Manage risk, security, compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity, availability, safety and integrity of the application

Ensure ontime & within cost delivery Should be proficient in working with partners to get solutions developed and deployed

Responsible for maintece of the application with BAU teams

Proficient and valuable understanding of insurance business with hands on experience in managing the application

Responsible for working with all user functions towards identification of prospective automation processes in the application, participate with business function towards audit process of the application, closure of audit points for the respective application

Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context: While the current market sees more than 15 nonlife players in the private space and 5 exclusive private players in the health insurance space trying to capture a sizable market share, the nationalised service provider (6) remains a strong competitor. In addition to this the business dynamics are such that the overall market on an annual basis which is to the tune of roughly 10, 000 Crs sees close to 85 % of the business renewing with the existing service provider itself. This narrows down the opportunity of the fresh business actually being seriously fought in the market to approximately 1500 odd Crs.

With the SME and the startups being the driving force of Indian economy, the opportunity to cater to these segments is immense and is increasing manifold year on year. The challenge here therefore remains as to how we capture a larger share of the opportunity by developing specific solutions to cater each segment of the business.



Also by creating an inexpensive and standardized solution to increase the reach into the pockets of channel partners across the country to harness on their captive business and explore new opportunities with them.

Job Challenges

Ensuring that the solution designed and delivered meet business requirements and expectations regarding cost, schedule and scope

Meetings with teams to identify and resolve roadblocks, continue the advancement of leveraging Agile Processes, Acceptance Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration / Deployment

Providing direction and daytoday interactions with a team of partner resources, developing and maintaining a team of performing people through effective hiring, coaching and performance/talent management processes

Meeting the demand raised by business with capacity availability from partner resources and arriving upon the best fit on order to bring efficiency in the overall demand supply management

Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Project Planning, Delivery and Go Live Performance to meet application go live in organization. This would require continuous update per week at least one update per application per week KRA2 Partner Management Continuous meeting with partners in order to provide a winwin situation with partner and organization. 1 meeting per month KRA3 Post Go Live Support Ensuring total no of issues to be as per the lowest in the market, design, develop and build performance management tools and control metrics deploy at least 1 process per quarter which results towards increased performance predictability of an application
