About the RoleAppleBerry Technologies is looking for enthusiastic Embedded Systems Developer Interns to join our engineering team in Trivandrum.
The selected candidates will work on real-world embedded systems projects involving medical devices, sensor-based systems, IoT products, signal acquisition, wireless communication, and intelligent monitoring systems.
This internship is suitable for students or fresh graduates who are passionate about electronics, firmware development, microcontrollers, sensors, and building complete hardware-software systems.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Embedded Systems Developer Intern, you will:
- Develop and test firmware for microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, and similar embedded platforms.
- Interface sensors, ADCs, DACs, displays, communication modules, and other peripherals.
- Work with communication protocols including:
- UART
- SPI
- I2C
- USB
- Bluetooth / BLE
- Wi-Fi
- MQTT
- Assist in developing embedded applications for medical devices, patient monitoring systems, IoT devices, and sensor-based products.
- Perform sensor data acquisition, filtering, calibration, and basic signal processing.
- Implement and test real-time embedded firmware.
- Work with timers, interrupts, ADC sampling, GPIO, PWM, and peripheral drivers.
- Debug embedded hardware and firmware using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, serial terminals, and debuggers.
- Assist with hardware bring-up, PCB testing, and prototype validation.
- Develop test applications or utilities using Python when required.
- Work with Raspberry Pi or embedded Linux platforms for device integration and data processing.
- Participate in system testing, debugging, documentation, and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, AI/ML, and product-development teams.
- Research and evaluate new sensors, ICs, development boards, and embedded technologies.
Required SkillsCandidates should have basic knowledge of:
- C / Embedded C
- Microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, Arduino, PIC, AVR, or similar platforms
- Digital and analog electronics
- GPIO, ADC, PWM, timers, and interrupts
- UART, SPI, and I2C communication
- Reading circuit diagrams and datasheets
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting
- Embedded firmware development concepts
Good to HaveKnowledge or experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- STM32CubeIDE / STM32CubeMX
- ESP-IDF or Arduino framework for ESP32
- FreeRTOS
- Raspberry Pi
- Python
- Bluetooth / BLE
- Wi-Fi and MQTT
- PCB design and hardware debugging
- Git / GitHub

- FFT, digital filters, peak detection, or waveform analysis

Educational BackgroundStudents or recent graduates from:
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Embedded Systems
- Robotics
- Computer Science with robust embedded/hardware interest
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech or equivalent relevant programs
