Role & responsibilities
- Design and engineering of electrical systems for airport and commercial building projects.
- Prepare and review electrical layouts, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, and design calculations.
- Design and coordinate LV/MV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and related electrical infrastructure.
- Prepare electrical specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, PHE, ELV, fire & life safety, and other MEP disciplines.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical data sheets, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors/vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable Indian Standards, NBC, IEC, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
- Support project teams during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
- 68 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering.
- Must have experience working on airport and/or large commercial projects such as airports, hotels, hospitals, malls, offices, or mixed-use developments.
- Valuable knowledge of electrical design software and AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, design practices, and coordination requirements.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to independently handle electrical design activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in airport projects and large-scale commercial buildings will be preferred.
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination will be an added advantage.
