Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Electrical

Engineer will design, develop, and review electrical systems and components for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing electrical design documents and drawings, performing calculations and simulations for power distribution and power systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, procurement, and project management. The role involves conducting site assessments,



supporting installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and optimizing system performance.

The Electrical

Engineer will also contribute to cost estimation, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Alchemy Global’s quality and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to practical industrial and commercial applications.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparation of schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using relevant CAD and design tools.
- Experience with Power Distribution systems, including load calculation, panel board design, cable sizing, and protective device coordination.
- Knowledge of Power Systems, including system analysis, fault studies, and integration of renewable or backup power solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with national and international electrical codes and standards (such as IEC, IEEE, or equivalent).
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project execution, site supervision, and commissioning will be an advantage.
- Prior exposure to consulting, turnkey projects, or engineering services environments is beneficial.
