We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel to design industrial control panels for customers in the United States. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing UL-compliant electrical schematics, 3D panel layouts, manufacturing documentation, and collaborating with US engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Develop 3D control panel layouts using EPLAN Pro Panel.

Create:

Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

Control Schematics

Power Schematics

Panel General Arrangement (GA)

Terminal Diagrams

Cable Schedules

Wiring Diagrams

Interconnection Diagrams

Bill of Materials (BOM)

Perform component selection and sizing for:

PLCs

HMIs

VFDs

Servo Drives

Power Supplies

Circuit Breakers

Contactors

Relays

Safety Components

Ethernet Switches

- Design control panels in accordance with UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC, and customer specifications.

Create and maintain EPLAN parts database, symbols, macros, forms, and templates.

Perform device placement, DIN rail layout, cable duct arrangement, and panel optimization.

Generate manufacturing-ready documentation including:

Terminal plans

Wire lists

Cable reports

Device reports

BOMs

Panel drilling and machining data





Utilize EPLAN Pro Panel for 3D routing and panel documentation where applicable.

Coordinate with PLC programmers, mechanical engineers, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

Support panel fabrication, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and customer technical reviews.

Review customer specifications and implement engineering standards across projects.

Maintain project documentation, revisions, and engineering records.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8.
- Hands-on experience with EPLAN Pro Panel.

Experience creating EPLAN macros, symbols, and parts databases.

Knowledge of industrial control panel design.

Understanding of PLC-based automation systems.

Ability to interpret customer electrical specifications.

Knowledge of:

Control Panels

MCC

PLC Panels

VFD Panels

Remote I/O Systems

Servo Motion Systems

Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, and EtherCAT.

Excellent documentation and drawing standards.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Positive verbal and written English communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

3–8 years of experience in EPLAN-based electrical design.

Experience with US automation projects.

Knowledge of Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Beckhoff, or Omron PLC systems.

Experience with Rittal, Hoffman, Saginaw, or similar industrial enclosures.

Understanding of enclosure thermal calculations and cable sizing.

Experience with UL-listed control panel manufacturing.

Knowledge of EPLAN Data Portal and Smart Wiring is an advantage.
