About the Role

Cygnus Advertising is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented DTP Graphic Designer to join our creative team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of graphic design, print production, DTP, layout, typography, and pre-press requirements . The candidate will be responsible for creating and preparing artwork for advertisements, brochures, catalogues, hoardings, banners, social media creatives, publications, and other client communication materials.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys both creative design and production artwork , and who can convert concepts and content into accurate, print-ready, and visually appealing designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design creative artwork for advertisements, brochures, leaflets, catalogues, posters, banners, hoardings, stationery, presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Prepare layouts and artwork for both print and digital media .
- Handle DTP work including typesetting, formatting, page layout, image placement, and artwork preparation.
- Create social media creatives and digital promotional materials when required.
- Work on multi-page documents, brochures, catalogues, reports, and other publication materials.
- Prepare final artwork according to printing and production specifications.
- Ensure proper bleed, margins, crop marks, image resolution, colour mode, fonts, and file formats before sending artwork for production.
- Make corrections and revisions based on client and internal feedback.
- Check artwork carefully for spelling, alignment, sizing, colour, formatting, and other production errors.




- Coordinate with the creative, content, production, and client servicing teams.
- Maintain organized design files and artwork versions.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete work within deadlines.
- Support the team in preparing artwork for various advertising and branding requirements.

Required Skills

Mandatory

- Adobe Photoshop – Good working knowledge
- Adobe Illustrator – Good working knowledge
- Adobe InDesign – Good working knowledge
- Solid knowledge of DTP and print production
- Good understanding of typography, layout, spacing, alignment, and composition
- Knowledge of print-ready artwork preparation
- Understanding of CMYK, RGB, DPI, bleed, crop marks, and file formats
- Good image editing and basic photo-retouching skills
- Ability to work with multi-page documents and publications
- Strong attention to detail

Additional Advantage

- Canva
- Adobe Acrobat / PDF pre-flight
- Figma
- Basic knowledge of social media design
- Basic knowledge of motion/video editing
- Experience with large-format printing and outdoor advertising artwork
- Knowledge of Bengali/Hindi typesetting will be an added advantage

Candidate Profile

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design, DTP, Print Design, or Pre-Press .
- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in an advertising agency, printing press,



design studio, publishing house, or creative agency will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of both creative design and production requirements.
- Good visual sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently as well as as part of a team.

Portfolio Requirement A portfolio is mandatory. Candidates should submit their updated CV along with a relevant portfolio showcasing their Graphic Design, DTP, Print Design, and/or Pre-Press work.

Candidates with experience in brochures, catalogues, advertisements, hoardings, packaging, publications, social media creatives, and other print/digital artwork are encouraged to apply.
