Job Summary:

The Drawing Layout Draftsman will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural and layout drawings for transmission line towers and substation structures. The role requires strong drafting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare accurate drawings based on design inputs, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and engineering requirements while ensuring compliance with project standards and fabrication requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed structural, layout, and erection drawings for transmission line towers and related structures.
2. Develop shop drawings based on approved structural drawings and design inputs.
3. Review and verify shop drawings against structural drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
4. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, checkers, and other draftsmen to ensure timely completion of drawings.
5. Verify bolt and nut quantities, member details, and grip lengths as per structural drawings and BOM requirements.

Ensure all drawings are prepared in accordance with applicable standards, client requirements, and fabrication feasibility.
7. Maintain proper revision control and drawing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Support proto assembly and resolve drawing-related issues during fabrication and erection stages.
9. Monitor drawing submission schedules and ensure timely release of drawings.
10. Lead and manage the drawing team by allocating work, reviewing outputs, and ensuring quality deliverables.

Competencies :

- Transmission line tower Layout/detailing/drafting and structural drawings.

Skills :

- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, BOCAD, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of transmission tower components, fabrication drawings, and erection requirements.
- Robust checking and coordination skills with attention to detail.

Education :

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
