About CSI

Climate and Sustainability Initiative (CSI) is a global research and advisory institution, headquartered in Singapore, with an office in New Delhi, working at the intersection of climate policy and climate finance, with focus on implementable solutions for developing countries in the global south. CSI brings together professionals with deep finance qualifications and skills, deep financial sector experience, economists, policy specialists, and climate policy practitioners. This enables the institution to design transition pathways that are both technically sound, politically feasible and financially viable.

CSI works closely with national and sub-national governments, public financial institutions, academic partners, and investors, including supporting India’s Net Zero 2070 agenda through engagements with NITI Aayog, multilaterals and development finance institutions institutional investors, and industry stakeholders across power, transport, industry, and emerging green technologies.

Position: Digital Communications Associate

Location: New Delhi (Work from Office)

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, digitally savvy, and detail-oriented Digital Communications Associate to strengthen CSI’s digital presence and research communications. This role sits at the intersection of research, storytelling, design, digital media, and analytics. You will translate complex research into compelling narratives that engage policymakers, industry leaders, media, researchers, and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Communications:





- Manage CSI’s presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and YouTube
- Develop monthly and quarterly content calendars
- Create platform-native content including LinkedIn carousels, reels, infographics, threads, videos and motion graphics
- Publish, schedule and optimise content
- Coordinate with researchers and programme teams

Research Communications & Storytelling:

- Translate reports, policy briefs, blogs and whitepapers into engaging content
- Simplify complex climate and sustainability topics
- Write compelling copy across platforms
- Support communication campaigns for research outputs

Graphic Design & Visual Content:

- Design whitepapers, policy briefs, reports, creatives, carousels, infographics, event posters, newsletter graphics and presentations
- Maintain CSI brand consistency
- Build reusable design templates

Video Production & Multimedia:

- Conceptualise and edit short-form videos
- Produce research explainers, interviews, event highlights and campaign reels

Analytics & Performance:

- Track performance using platform analytics
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Recommend improvements using audience insights and content data

Events & Campaign Communications:

- Support report launches, webinars,



conferences and stakeholder events
- Create pre-event, live and post-event communication assets

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Design, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
- 1 –3 years of experience in digital communications, social media, content creation or visual storytelling
- Experience in a think tank, research institution, public policy, development or social impact organisation is preferred

Skills & Competencies

Essential:

- Strong visual storytelling and design sensibility
- Proficiency in Canva and Figma
- Working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Filmora, CapCut or equivalent
- Understanding of social media analytics
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent writing skills

Desirable:

- Canva, Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop or After Effects
- Newsletter platforms (Mailchimp/Brevo)
- Interest in climate, sustainability and public policy
