Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced OT Engineer for an L2 position to join our Solar Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our operational technology systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of both IT and OT environments, with a focus on cybersecurity, network management, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance and Support: Provide L2 support for OT systems like HMI, PLC, automation etc, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of hardware and software components.
- Network Management: Manage and maintain OT networks IP range, ensuring secure and reliable communication between devices and systems. Should have ability to identify & fix the network issues in OT environment.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures as per the group cyber directives to protect OT systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of OT systems with IT infrastructure, facilitating effective data flow and process automation by coordinating with the OEM, production, maintenance team & other stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network layouts, and maintenance activities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including cybersecurity and safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, engineering, and production teams to support manufacturing operations and address any OT-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in OT engineering, preferably in the solar manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in OT systems and network management.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of IT-OT integration and data communication protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
