Role & responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related issues.
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, applications, and required software.
- Provide technical support to teachers, staff, and users.
- Perform network setup and troubleshooting, including LAN, switches, Wi-Fi, and basic connectivity issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Handle printer installation, driver configuration, connectivity issues, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve network connectivity and IP-related issues.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance of computer systems and IT equipment.
- Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, replacements, and service activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware, networking, printer, and other IT-related support when required.
- Follow IT department procedures and ensure timely resolution of user complaints

Preferred candidate profile





- Diploma / Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in desktop support, IT support, or technical support.
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of LAN, networking, IP configuration, switches, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of printer installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with the IT team.
- Knowledge of basic network security and IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in schools or educational institutions will be an added advantage.
- Good documentation and IT asset management skills.
