Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks & Auto cad to develop mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. The candidate will be responsible for converting customer requirements and engineering concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs while coordinating with production, quality, procurement, and other engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Create 3D models, parts, assemblies, and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop new product designs and modify existing designs based on customer and project requirements.
- Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, machining drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Apply appropriate GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, surface finish, fits, and material specifications.
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection.
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to dimensions, loads, materials, fits, and mechanical components.
- Select suitable materials, standard components, fasteners, bearings, seals, and other mechanical elements.
- Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, cost, quality, and reliability.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Purchase, and Assembly teams for design-related issues.
- Support production during prototype development, first-off inspection,



and manufacturing trials.
- Analyze and resolve design and manufacturing problems through engineering changes.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, drawing revisions, engineering change notes, and design documentation.
- Incorporate customer feedback and engineering changes into drawings and 3D models.
- Conduct design reviews and participate in DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) activities.
- Maintain proper revision control and ensure drawings are released as per company procedures.
- Assist in prototype development and testing of new products.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable customer specifications, engineering standards, and company quality requirements.

- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, sheet-metal manufacturing, and assembly processes.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience

- 13 years of relevant experience in mechanical design/manufacturing.
- Candidates with experience in machining, fabrication, special-purpose machines, industrial equipment, or precision components will be preferred.
