Position

Summary The Senior Engineer Telecom & OFC Deployment is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing Optical Fiber Cable deployment activities from survey through commissioning while ensuring quality, safety, productivity and timely project delivery.

3. Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Conduct initial site surveys with project teams and contractors to finalize execution methodology and deployment plans.
- Plan and execute duct laying, HDPE installation, chamber construction, cable blowing, cable pulling, fiber splicing, testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with field engineers, supervisors, contractors and subcontractors to execute work as per approved drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities and prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material consumption reports and execution updates.
- Manage site manpower, materials, tools, testing instruments, machinery and equipment efficiently.
- Resolve technical issues during execution and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients and internal departments for smooth execution.
- Maintain quality standards and complete punch-point clearance before project handover.
- Support documentation, testing records, as-built drawings and client handover documentation.

- Ensure manpower safety at all project locations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, statutory requirements and client safety standards.
- Monitor mandatory PPE usage by all employees, contractors and visitors.
- Promote secure work practices and approved SOPs.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Report unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions.
