The Assistant Manager – DMS Implementation & Operations is responsible for driving end-to-end implementation of service processes on the Dealer Management System (DMS) in coordination with the DMS vendor, and for ensuring the platform remains a reliable backbone for dealer service operations. This role owns the functional relationship with the DMS vendor,
translates business/service requirements into system configuration, and provides field-level support to dealers and internal teams.
The position works closely with the DMS vendor, ERP, CRM, and Electronic Parts Catalogue
(EPC) teams to ensure seamless data flow and process integration across service systems.
The role also benchmarks DMS and digital service practices followed by other OEMs/market players and drives continuous improvement of system-led service processes, positioning
Ultraviolette's service operations for scale as the dealer network and EV 2-wheeler business grows.
Job Responsibilities
. DMS Implementation & Configuration
- Own end-to-end coordination with the DMS vendor to implement service processes on DMS – job card, estimation, invoicing, warranty claims, AMC/VAS, spare parts, and service scheduling modules.
- Translate business and service requirements into functional specifications and work with the vendor's technical/product team on configuration and workflow design.
- Own DMS master data setup and governance – pricing data, warranty rules, labour codes, and service schedules.
- Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new modules, releases, and change requests prior to go-live.
- Manage the DMS change request and enhancement backlog, prioritizing with the vendor based on business impact.
- Field Support & Dealer Enablement
- Provide field and remote support to dealers and internal service teams on DMS-related issues,
ensuring quick resolution and minimal service downtime.
- Troubleshoot functional and technical issues on DMS; escalate and follow up with the vendor for closure within agreed SLAs.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, user manuals, and training material for DMS usage across dealer service teams.
- Conduct training and refresher sessions for dealer staff and field teams on new DMS features,
releases, and best practices.
- Systems Integration – ERP, CRM & EPC
- Build strong working understanding of related service software systems – ERP (e.g., Odoo/Zoho),
CRM, and Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) – and how they interface with DMS.
- Coordinate with IT and respective system owners to ensure seamless data flow and process integration between DMS, ERP, CRM, and EPC.
- Support data migration, API integration, and system integration testing for new rollouts or upgrades.
- Benchmarking & Process Improvement
- Benchmark DMS capabilities and digital service practices followed by other two-wheeler/EV OEMs and market players.
- Identify gaps in current DMS processes and drive continuous improvement and digitization initiatives for aftersales operations.
- Recommend and pilot new features/modules that improve service efficiency, customer experience,
and dealer productivity.
- Governance, Vendor Management & Reporting
- Monitor DMS adherence across the dealer network and highlight critical non-adherence to stakeholders.
- Track DMS vendor performance against SLAs – issue resolution TAT, system uptime,
release quality.
Prepare and publish MIS/dashboards on DMS usage, open issues, and implementation status to leadership.
Job Requirements
Experience
Example
● 7–10 years of experience in DMS implementation, service IT/systems, or automotive aftersales operations.
● Prior experience working directly with a DMS vendor on implementation, configuration, or rollout is strongly preferred.
● OEM or dealer-network industry experience (automotive/two-wheeler/EV) preferred.
● Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders including IT, vendors, and dealer networks
Skills
Example
● Strong functional knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) – configuration,
workflows, and master data.
● Working understanding of ERP, CRM, and Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) systems and their integration with DMS.
● Ability to translate business requirements into system specifications and manage vendor delivery.
● Experience in UAT planning, execution, and release management.
● Strong analytical skills for benchmarking market practices and identifying process improvement opportunities.
● Effective stakeholder and vendor management, with the ability to train and support field/dealer teams.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MIS/dashboard tools.
● Basic understanding of EV two-wheeler service operations and technology.
Education
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/IT/Computer Science) or relevant qualification.
