JOB SUMMARY The Vendor Portal Data Entry Specialist / Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for monitoring open purchase orders on vendor websites, extracting key data like ship dates and tracking numbers, and ensuring this information is accurately updated in our internal systems. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining data integrity and proactively communicating any potential delays to the purchasing team.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The specialist provides extensive support of data integrity and system updates. Key responsibilities include:
- Logging into the assigned vendor websites each morning.
- Searching and filtering all open purchase orders.
- Extracting current ship dates and tracking numbers.
- Comparing vendor dates with our internal ERP/inventory system.
- Updating spreadsheets or logistics software with new timelines.
- Flagging delayed orders and notifying the purchasing team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Basic computer skills and fast web navigation.
- High accuracy with numbers and dates.
- Explicit verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across global time zones and at all levels of the organization.
- Strong focus on detail.
- Good use of Excel or Google Sheets.
