HANUMAYAMMA INNOVATIONS AND TECHNOLOGIES
Hyderabad
Job Summary For students and self-taught data people who want their first real dataset to be something that matters. Shelter herds are unlike anything in a textbook: mixed ages, rescued animals, no production pressure, and a duty of care that runs for the animals whole life.
Responsibilities
- Clean, label and organise sensor telemetry from goshala deployments
- Help adapt health models built for productive dairy herds to elderly, rescued and infirm animals
- Work on methane and welfare reporting that goshalas can use for their own environmental commitments
- Test model outputs against what the caretakers and veterinarians actually observed
- Write up honestly what did not work, so the next deployment is better
Requirements
- Studying or self-taught in data science, statistics,
computer science or a related field
- Comfortable with Python or R and with messy real-world data
- Interest in animal welfare, traditional cow protection, or both
- Willing to travel to goshalas and spend time with the animals and the people who care for them
- Respect for the religious and cultural context in which this work happens
