Role Description The Data Privacy Specialist is a full time hybrid role based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for interpreting and applying privacy regulations to Elmer Technologies’ outsourcing services and internal processes.

Day-to-day tasks include assessing data handling practices, developing and maintaining privacy policies, and monitoring compliance with applicable laws and standards. The specialist will perform privacy impact assessments, support risk analysis, and recommend controls to safeguard sensitive information across global projects.



The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding stakeholders on privacy requirements, and preparing documentation and reports for audits and client reviews.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Privacy Regulations and Data Privacy principles, with the ability to apply them to diverse outsourcing services.
- Experience in Privacy Compliance, including designing controls, monitoring adherence, and supporting audits or assessments.
- Ability to develop, review, and maintain Privacy Policies that align with legal requirements and client expectations.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret regulatory changes, and translate complex requirements into practical actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, information security, computer science, management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, ISO 27701) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with global privacy frameworks (such as GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations) and experience working with cross-border data flows.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Prior experience in BPO/KPO/LPO or other outsourcing environments is preferred.
