Role Overview

We are seeking a Developer Experience / Platform Engineer to join our flexible delivery bench. Activated on a trigger basis, you will expand the platform's reach by building golden-path templates, evaluating and integrating specialised tooling including MuleSoft Anypoint, delivering event-driven and ETL integration patterns, and driving AI-assisted development enablement across the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain golden-path integration templates that enable project teams to self-serve common integration patterns without platform team involvement.

• Evaluate MuleSoft Anypoint Platform against Azure-native alternatives — producing structured CapEx/OpEx and ROI analyses to inform procurement decisions.

• Build and document additional integration patterns — event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus and Event Grid

, ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory

, and hybrid patterns.

• Support project onboarding — guiding new teams through the platform's self-service capabilities and ensuring smooth adoption of golden-path templates

• Drive AI-assisted development practices — tooling evaluation, prompt engineering standards, code generation guardrails, and developer enablement.

- Contribute to change management and enablement — workshops, documentation, and developer community of practice sessions.

• Collaborate with the Integration Platform Engineer to package new patterns into reusable IaC modules and CI/CD templates.

Required Skills

- 2-3 years in platform engineering, developer experience, or enterprise integration roles.

• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

— design, development, and/or evaluation.

• Experience building event-driven integrations and ETL pipelines on Azure — Service Bus

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot

) and experience embedding these practices into engineering workflows.

- Strong developer enablement and documentation skills — translating complex platform capabilities into self-service templates and guides.

• Experience with IaC tooling — Terraform and/or Bicep

Positive to Have

• Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM)

and Azure API Center for developer portal configuration.

• Exposure to OpenAPI specification and contract-first API design practices.

• Knowledge of BIAN domain models and financial services integration patterns.
