Data Quality & Transformation Analyst (Tableau) 4–9 Years - Mumbai

Are you a data professional with solid expertise in SQL, PL/SQL Development, Data Validation, Data Quality, and Tableau? We are looking for a Data Quality & Transformation Analyst to analyze data structures, develop SQL/PL-SQL based transformations, support data modelling, and implement robust validation and testing frameworks to ensure reliable and consistent reporting outputs.

Responsibilities:

- Understand business and technical use cases and translate requirements into appropriate data transformations tailored to multiple downstream analytical and reporting needs.
- Design and develop SQL/PL-SQL views and complex queries for analytics and reporting consumption, ensuring efficient and reliable data retrieval.
- Support schema design and data modelling decisions, including tables, relationships, keys, data types, and normalization/denormalization considerations to improve data usability and maintainability.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression test cases for data pipelines and transformed datasets to ensure data reliability and prevent inconsistencies in reporting outputs.
- Design and implement robust data validation and quality checks to identify exceptions, anomalies, outliers, missing values, unexpected distributions,



referential integrity issues, and threshold breaches.
- Proactively identify potential data quality and pipeline challenges, including data drift, ingestion issues, schema changes, duplicates, late-arriving data, and inconsistent formats, and implement preventive controls.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics stakeholders to troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, strengthen monitoring frameworks, and improve data controls.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data transformations, validation checks, testing coverage, and processes to ensure transparency, consistency, and repeatability.
- Work with Tableau to support data visualization initiatives, including dashboard performance optimization and development of effective visualization approaches for analytical projects.
- Support innovative data visualization approaches and enterprise dashboard rollouts, contributing to adoption and ensuring dashboards effectively meet business and analytical requirements.

Requirements:

- 4–9 years of experience in Data Analysis or a related field, with demonstrated experience in SQL, data transformation, and data quality testing/validation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL Development, including writing complex queries and designing efficient views.
- Solid understanding of data transformation concepts and the ability to adapt datasets for different analytical use cases.
- Experience designing and executing unit, integration, and regression tests for datasets and data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data validation and data quality principles, including exception, anomaly, and outlier detection.
- Good understanding of data modelling and schema design, including keys, relationships, data types, constraints, and normalization/denormalization.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and preventing data quality issues.
- Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to resolve data challenges.
- Knowledge of Tableau, particularly dashboard performance optimization and enterprise dashboard development/rollouts, will be an advantage. Training will be provided.
