Job Purpose

We are looking for a Sales Data Analyst who will be responsible for managing, analysing and interpreting sales data from DMS (Distributor Management System) and M-Assist, preparing MIS reports, tracking sales performance, and providing actionable insights to the sales team and management for better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Sales Data

Management &

- Analysis

- Collect, validate, consolidate and analyse sales data from DMS, M-Assist and other sales systems.

- Monitor primary sales, secondary sales, stock, billing, collections and outlet-level performance.

- Identify trends, gaps, deviations and opportunities from sales data.

- Ensure data accuracy and timely availability of reports.

2. DMS &

- M-Assist Management

- Monitor day-to-day data flow and transactions in DMS &
- M-Assist.

- Coordinate with Sales, Distributors and IT/System teams for data-related issues.

- Track distributor billing, sales orders, stock and market transactions.

- Ensure proper system usage and data discipline across the sales team.

- Identify system/data discrepancies and coordinate for timely resolution.

3. Sales MIS &

- Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales MIS for management.

- Prepare reports covering:

- Target vs. Achievement

- Primary &
- Secondary Sales

- Distributor-wise performance

- Sales Team-wise performance

- Beat-wise performance

- Develop dashboards and automated MIS reports using Excel/Power BI.

Sales Performance

Monitoring

- Track sales targets and achievement against agreed business plans.

- Highlight underperforming territories, distributors, salespersons and SKUs.

- Analyse sales growth, decline, productivity and market trends.

- Prepare exception reports and highlight critical gaps to management.

5. Incentive &

- Productivity Analysis

- Support calculation and validation of sales incentives based on defined schemes.

- Validate achievement data before incentive processing.

- Identify unusual or incorrect data entries.

6. Distributor &

- Stock Analysis

- Monitor distributor stock and inventory levels.

- Analyse stock ageing, slow-moving and non-moving products.

- Track distributor-wise stock vs. sales and identify potential stock-out situations.

- Support sales team in improving stock rotation and availability.

7. Data Validation &

- Controls

- Cross-check DMS/M-Assist data with ERP, distributor and sales reports.

- Identify duplicate, missing or incorrect entries.

- Establish data validation checks and standard reporting formats.

- Maintain proper records and documentation of sales reports.

8.

Management

Support &

- Business Insights

- Provide analytical inputs for sales review meetings.

- Prepare presentations and dashboards for senior management.

- Generate actionable insights rather than only sharing raw data.

- Support management in identifying opportunities for sales growth and productivity improvement.
