About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Intern at F6IT Fintech & IT Solutions, you will work on practical cybersecurity projects involving security fundamentals, vulnerability assessment, network security, threat identification, security monitoring, and incident analysis. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build practical experience in Cybersecurity and develop a strong understanding of contemporary information security practices.

Responsibilities

- Assist in identifying and analyzing common cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
- Perform basic vulnerability assessments and security checks
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs
- Assist with network security analysis and configuration reviews
- Understand and apply cybersecurity best practices
- Support threat identification and basic incident analysis
- Assist with security testing and assessment activities
- Document security findings, risks, and recommended mitigation measures
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and attack techniques




- Work under the guidance of mentors on assigned cybersecurity projects

Qualifications

- Basic understanding of Cybersecurity and Information Security concepts
- Familiarity with computer networks and networking fundamentals
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack types
- Basic understanding of authentication, encryption, and access control
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prior Cybersecurity, Networking, or IT Security projects will be an added advantage
