We are looking for a Credit Control Executive who will be responsible for regular follow-up with customers, dealers, distributors and business partners for outstanding payments.
The candidate will be responsible for making a minimum average of 100 calls per working day to ensure timely collection of receivables, payment commitments and reduction of outstanding dues.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, strong follow-up ability, working knowledge of Advanced Excel, and the ability to maintain accurate collection records.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payment Follow-Up & Collection Calling
- Make a minimum average of 100 collection/follow-up calls per day.
- Follow up with customers, dealers and distributors regarding overdue and upcoming payments.
- Obtain transparent payment commitments and expected payment dates from customers.
- Regularly follow up on committed payment dates until payment is received.
- Escalate delayed or disputed payments to the reporting manager.
1. Outstanding & Receivables Management
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and ageing.
- Follow up on overdue invoices based on priority and ageing.
- Maintain daily collection and follow-up records.
- Identify long-pending outstanding amounts and ensure appropriate escalation.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Accounts teams for collection-related issues.
1. MIS & Advanced Excel
- Prepare daily and weekly collection MIS.
- Maintain customer-wise outstanding and follow-up reports.
- Update payment commitments and collection status in Excel.
- Prepare ageing reports and follow-up trackers.
- Use Advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP,
SUMIFS, filters, sorting and basic reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and payment commitments.
1. Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Dispatch and other departments for customer-related payment issues.
- Follow up regarding invoice discrepancies, credit notes, pending documents and other issues affecting payment.
- Maintain professional communication with customers while ensuring effective collection.
1. Reporting
- Submit daily calling and collection reports to the reporting manager.
- Report the number of calls made, customers contacted, payment commitments received and collections achieved.
- Highlight critical and high-value outstanding accounts to management.
- Maintain proper documentation of follow-ups and customer responses.
Daily Performance Expectations The candidate will be expected to maintain a disciplined daily calling and follow-up process. Minimum Average Calling Target: 100 calls per working day
Performance will be monitored based on:
- Number of calls made
- Customers successfully contacted
- Payment commitments received
- Commitments converted into actual collections
- Reduction in overdue outstanding
- Accuracy of MIS and follow-up records
- Timely escalation of critical accounts
Candidate Profile
Qualification
- B.Com preferred
- Candidates with relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit Control / Collection Calling may also be considered.
Experience
- 14 years of experience in Credit Control, Collection, Accounts Receivable, Payment Follow-up or similar roles.
- Experience in Manufacturing / Electrical / FMCG / Distribution / Trading industries will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal communication and convincing skills.
- Good customer follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable making 100+ calls per day.
- Strong follow-up discipline and persistence.
- Advanced Excel knowledge is mandatory/preferred.
- Good understanding of outstanding, receivables and ageing.
- Ability to work with large customer databases.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under collection targets and deadlines.
- Good coordination with Sales and Accounts teams.
Preferred Candidate
- B.Com graduate with relevant Credit Control / Collection experience.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi; additional regional languages will be an advantage.
- Comfortable with high-volume calling and continuous customer follow-up.
- Candidates who can join at the earliest will be given preference.
- Should be target-oriented and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
