Role Overview

We are looking for experienced CPG Planning Systems Consultants to join us.

This is a services-focused engagement and not a technology implementation role . You will represent Mu Sigma in client conversations,



bringing deep functional and tool knowledge to help clients feel confident that we understand their planning ecosystem and can support them effectively.

You will be embedded in client-facing sessions, support processes, and advisory discussions across leading CPG Planning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Discovery

- Participate actively in client workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Translate business needs into tool-specific functional requirements.
- Document nuances, pain points, and expectations across planning processes (demand planning, S&OP;, replenishment, etc.).

1. Support Process Design

- Help remodel and structure the client support process around these planning tools.
- Define escalation paths, SLAs, and support tiers aligned to tool capabilities.
- Build playbooks and runbooks for common support scenarios.

1. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

- Diagnose and resolve functional and configuration issues during live support engagements.
- Collaborate with client teams to root-cause planning failures, data discrepancies, or workflow breakdowns.
- Provide workarounds and permanent fixes grounded in tool best practices.

1. Advisory & Enhancement Recommendations

- Suggest new configurations, features,



or workflow changes based on evolving client needs and tool capabilities.
- Stay current on product releases and roadmap updates for supported platforms.
- Bridge the gap between what the tool can do and what the client needs to achieve.

Required Skills & Competencies

What We're Looking For

Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or equivalent CPG planning platforms .
- Prior exposure to CPG clients in demand planning, supply planning, or integrated business planning (IBP) contexts.
- Experience in client-facing consulting, support, or advisory roles.

Skills
- Strong functional understanding of CPG supply chain planning processes.
- Ability to communicate tool nuances clearly to both business and technical audiences.
- Structured problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and articulate solutions quickly.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving client environments.

Soft Skills
- High client presence with the ability to independently lead or co-lead sessions.
- Strong listening skills to capture requirements and unspoken concerns.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and client stakeholders.

- Other CPG Planning Systems as applicable (e.g., MDP, E2 Open, John Galt)
