Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and customer-focused Counter Person to join our restaurant team. The candidate will be responsible for handling customer orders, billing, cash/UPI payments, and coordinating with the kitchen to ensure smooth and accurate service.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and take food orders accurately.
Generate bills and collect cash, UPI, and card payments.
Handle the restaurant cash counter and maintain accurate cash records.
Coordinate customer orders with the kitchen and serving staff.
Ensure takeaway and dine-in orders are packed/served correctly.
Answer customer questions regarding the menu, prices, and availability.
Handle customer complaints politely and escalate issues when required.
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the counter area.
Check and maintain basic stock of billing materials and takeaway items.
Assist with opening and closing counter procedures.
Follow restaurant hygiene, safety, and company policies.
Requirements
Minimum 10th/12th pass preferred.
Previous restaurant/cashier/counter experience is preferred but freshers can apply.
Basic knowledge of cash handling and UPI payments.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Basic knowledge of smartphones/POS or billing software.
Honest, punctual, and responsible.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
