THE ROLE

We're looking for a Content Writer / Director who doesn't just write scripts — you own the content.

You'll be responsible for taking an idea from a rough thought and turning it into a strong concept, hook, script and shoot-ready execution.

You'll also work closely with our videographers and editors, directing them on how the content should be shot and edited.

Think of yourself as the creative brain between the idea and the final reel.

? WHAT YOU'LL DO

Content & Scriptwriting

- Write viral Instagram Reels and short-form video scripts
- Create strong hooks that make people stop scrolling
- Develop funny, relatable, controversial, emotional and unexpected content ideas
- Write scripts specifically designed for Instagram retention and shareability
- Understand Gen-Z humour, memes, internet culture and current trends
- Adapt trends into original Hype Matter formats instead of simply copying them
- Write scripts for:
- ? Vox-pop / street interviews
- ? Comedy & meme content
- ? Nightlife & club content
- ? Real estate content
- ? Skits & concepts
- ?️ Interviews
- ⚡ Trend-based Reels
- ? Brand content

? Own the Shoot Your job doesn't stop after writing the script.

You'll be expected to direct the execution of your scripts.

- Explain the concept and script to the videographer
- Guide the talent/host during the shoot
- Decide how the scene should play out
- Suggest shots, locations, actions and camera moments
- Make sure the shoot captures everything required for the final edit
- Take creative decisions on set when something isn't working
- Ensure the final footage matches the original concept

?️ Manage the Editor & Videographer You'll work closely with our Video Editor and Videographer.

You will





- Brief the editor before editing begins
- Explain the intended pacing, storytelling and tone
- Give references for editing style when required
- Review rough cuts
- Give clear feedback and revisions
- Make sure the final reel stays true to the script
- Coordinate with the videographer to ensure required shots are captured
- Maintain the overall creative direction of the content

You don't need to be the best editor or videographer. But you must understand both enough to direct them effectively.

- Can take ownership instead of waiting for instructions
- Is comfortable giving creative direction
- Can handle multiple shoots/content projects simultaneously
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving creative environment

Most importantly: You should have taste.

We don't want someone who knows how to write grammatically perfect sentences but can't create something people want to watch.

We want someone who can look at a boring idea and say:

"Wait. What if we do THIS instead?"

Your success will be measured by the quality and performance of the content you help create, not just the number of words you write.

You will be expected to:

- Consistently generate fresh content ideas
- Produce strong scripts within deadlines
- Improve hooks and retention
- Reduce unnecessary revisions through better briefs
- Help the team create content faster




- Contribute to high-performing/viral content
- Maintain consistency across multiple brand accounts

Required

- Excellent English/Hinglish communication
- Strong copywriting and storytelling
- Instagram Reels / short-form content knowledge
- Scriptwriting
- Creative ideation

- Ability to direct talent and production teams

- Basic understanding of video editing
- Basic knowledge of cinematography
- Experience with content strategy
- Understanding of analytics and retention
- AI tools for research, ideation and scripting
- Experience managing creatives/editors
- Previous experience in an agency, media company, creator brand or startup

? COMPENSATION

Salary: ₹7 to ₹10.30Lpa

Final compensation will depend on experience, creative ability and previous work.

Performance-based incentives may be available depending on the role and company structure.
