? Work Arrangement & Compensation

- Work Model: Initially Fully Remote, transitioning to Hybrid in Sri Lanka.
- Compensation: Competitive take-home salary [160,000 to 230,000 LKR] per month. Plus, tax-efficient USD-pegged salary option.

✍️ The Role

As Content Writer and Editor, you will write the landing pages and articles that bring millions of users to our products every month — and own the quality of everything our freelance writers produce. Half of this job is writing. The other half is judgment: deciding what is good enough to publish.

- Write & Update: Own tool and sub-tool landing pages across ProPDF, ClipSnap, and FreeConvert, using the SEO Analyst’s Keyword Brief, the Product Owner’s vision document, and hands-on access to the tools themselves.
- Support Content: Write the supplemental blog articles that support each tool — how-to guides, format explainers, and workflow pieces.
- Edit & Publish: Take a competent draft from a freelance writer and make it publishable, rather than rewriting it from scratch.
- Verify Claims: Check every product claim on a page against the vision document and the shipped tool, escalating conflicts to the Product Owner. Nothing goes live with a factual error about what our tools do.
- Own the Style Guide: Maintain reading level,



tone, sentence length, formatting, and the phrases we never use.
- Own the Page Standard: Run the editorial half of a pass-or-fail checklist per page type, sharpening it over time.
- Manage the Queue: Assign pages to freelance writers, set deadlines, and give the feedback that raises the standard of what comes back.
- Refresh & Improve: Update existing pages when a tool changes, a page underperforms, or a competitor’s coverage moves ahead of ours.

?️ Requirements

- Experience: 2-4 years in content writing, ideally including experience editing other people’s work. Writing for SaaS products, web tools, or digital platforms is strongly preferred.
- Writing: Exceptional written English - clear, precise, and publication-ready. This is the foundation of the role.
- Judgment: The ability to look at a plausible, confident, well-formatted AI-written draft and say that it is wrong - the single most significant skill we are hiring for.
- Editing Skill: The ability to improve someone else’s draft without flattening it into your own voice, and to tell the difference between a draft that needs an edit and one that needs to be sent back.
- AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI tools (such as Claude) to accelerate drafting and research,



with the discipline to catch invented claims and hollow paragraphs, and to take full ownership of the final work.
- SEO Awareness: A working understanding of on-page SEO, search intent, and how a keyword should sit inside a page. You will write against a Keyword Brief, not build one.
- Technical Curiosity: Comfortable writing about file formats, conversion behavior, and software features — you would rather open the tool and test it than guess.
- Editorial Discipline: You know what to cut — short sentences, no filler, and a Grade 9–10 reading level throughout.
- Organization: Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the initiative to keep the freelance queue running without being asked.
- Bonus Points: Experience with GA, GSC, or Ahrefs.
