Role Description The Consultant – General & Laparoscopic Surgery will provide comprehensive surgical care, including outpatient consultations, pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and performing general and laparoscopic procedures. Daily responsibilities include conducting ward rounds, monitoring post-operative recovery, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered treatment plans.

The consultant will participate in clinical discussions, contribute to quality improvement initiatives,



and maintain accurate medical records and documentation in line with hospital protocols. The role also involves mentoring junior medical staff, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and engaging in continuous career development. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Accord Superspeciality Hospital in Faridabad.

Qualifications

- Relevant medical degree (MBBS) with recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS, DNB or equivalent).
- Proven clinical expertise in general surgery and laparoscopic procedures, including elective and emergency surgeries.
- Strong patient assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across departments.
- Commitment to high standards of patient safety, infection control, and quality care.
- Proficiency in using hospital information systems and comfort with technology-enabled workflows.
- Excellent communication skills for patient counselling, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Valid medical registration with appropriate national or state medical council; experience in tertiary or superspeciality hospitals is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties, emergency coverage, and hospital quality initiatives.
