About Project Charaka
Project Charaka focuses on telehealth kiosks, community awareness, and mobilization to improve healthcare access. It bridges the gap between healthcare providers and the community through digital health solutions and awareness programs for preventive and promotive healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Mobilization : Promote NCD screening camps and telehealth kiosk services in villages, schools, and PHCs. Mobilize beneficiaries for consultations. Lead community meetings, school sessions, and awareness rallies.
- Training Awareness : Facilitate training for ASHAs, ANMs, teachers, and local stakeholders on preventive healthcare, lifestyle diseases, and telehealth kiosk usage.
- Kiosk Support Implementation : Ensure smooth daily functioning of telehealth kiosks at assigned PHCs. Support patients and guide staff through tele-consultations. Coordinate troubleshooting with the technical team.
- Coordination Liaisoning : Build strong rapport with PHC/CHC staff, Panchayat members, school authorities, and local leaders. Support alignment with government health programs.
- Government Engagement : Support inclusion of Charaka activities in government PIPs and health schemes. Attend block/district health meetings.
- Data Reporting : Track daily footfall, screenings, and consultations.
Document success stories and challenges. Submit timely reports to the Program Manager.
- Documentation : Take photos and videos pertaining to project including geo tagged images in order to document the progress of the project including testimonials from the field.
- Any other activities assigned by line manager.
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (Social Work / Public Health preferred)
- 2+ years experience in Public Health, Community Health, or NGO/Govt. programs
- Strong communication in local dialect, Hindi, and basic English
- Positive planning, coordination, and multitasking skills
- Basic computer skills MS Word, Excel, Email, Internet
- Resident of nearby block/district preferred
- Own two-wheeler for field travel preferred
- Willing to travel extensively in rural areas
