Job Title: Commis III – Bakery (Artisanal Bread)

Position Overview

Samyara’s Den is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Commis III to join our dedicated bakery team. As an entry-level professional specializing in artisanal bread, you will support daily baking operations, master classic bread-making techniques, and ensure our high standards for sourdough, brioche, whole-grain loaves, and specialty crusts are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation & Mise en Place: Weigh, measure, and scale ingredients accurately according to established recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Dough Maintenance: Assist with dough preparation, shaping, proofing, and maintaining natural starter cultures (levain).
- Oven Operations: Monitor baking times and temperatures, assisting higher-level commis and line chefs in deck oven and convection oven management.
- Station Maintenance: Keep work surfaces, tools, dough troughs, and bakery equipment clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Inventory & Storage: Assist in receiving stock, inspecting ingredients for quality, and implementing proper FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
- Food Safety Compliance:



Adhere strictly to local health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and kitchen sanitation protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements Education: Candidates should hold a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, or have equivalent hands-on experience in a skilled kitchen environment.

Experience: Requires 0 to 1 year of experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in working with sourdough or yeast-leavened breads.

Skills: Applicants must possess a foundational understanding of baker’s percentages, fermentation principles, and manual dough shaping techniques.

Physical Stamina: The role demands high physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive physical tasks, and lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs) safely.

Schedule: Flexibility is essential, including a willingness to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays typical of artisanal bakery operations.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
