Role Description The College Counselor – Ivy League role is a full time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. The counselor will guide high school students through the entire Ivy League and top-tier college admissions process, including school selection, application planning, essay and resume development, and interview preparation. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, designing personalized admissions roadmaps, providing feedback on application materials, and coordinating with families on timelines and expectations.

The role also involves staying updated on changing admissions trends, scholarships, and financial aid options,



and contributing to workshops or webinars that support CollegePass students.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in college counseling and student counseling, with experience supporting high school students through academic and career decisions.
- Expertise in college applications, including Ivy League and other highly selective institutions, with a track record of guiding students on essays, resumes, and interviews.
- Knowledge of student financial aid, scholarships, and funding options, and ability to explain these clearly to students and families.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, supportive manner.
- Ability to build trust with students and families, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in college admissions, test prep, or educational counseling, especially with Ivy League or top global universities, is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing online sessions and in-person meetings in Bengaluru, and using digital tools for scheduling and documentation.
