Role Description The Claims Specialist is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for managing and processing business insurance claims from initial notification through resolution, ensuring fair, timely, and accurate outcomes. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing claim documents, verifying coverage, conducting investigations, analyzing loss details, and coordinating with policyholders, insurers, and other stakeholders.

The Claims

Specialist will communicate claim decisions, provide clear explanations to clients, and maintain detailed records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.



The role also involves identifying patterns in claims, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong claims-focused expertise, including Claims Management and Claims Handling skills.
- Solid Analytical Skills for assessing claim information, interpreting policies, and making data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of Insurance concepts, products, and business risk coverage.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external partners in a clear, professional manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in claims, underwriting, or insurance operations is preferred, especially in commercial or business insurance.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Comfort working with digital tools and claim management systems; familiarity with MS Office or similar platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
