Role Description The Claim Manager – Fire and Property is a full-time on-site role based in Mumbai. The person in this position will oversee end-to-end handling of fire and property insurance claims, including initial assessment, documentation review, and coordination with clients, insurers, and surveyors. Daily responsibilities include evaluating claim validity, analyzing policy terms, preparing reports, tracking claim status, and ensuring timely resolution.

The role also involves maintaining accurate records, identifying risk patterns, advising clients on claim procedures,



and supporting process improvements to enhance claim efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong claims handling and claims management skills, with experience managing fire and property insurance claims.
- Solid analytical skills to review documentation, interpret policy terms, and assess loss and liability.
- Knowledge of insurance and insurance claims processes, preferably within property and specialty lines such as jewellery.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact with clients, insurers, and third-party assessors.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency with office software and claim management systems.
- Relevant academic background in insurance, finance, commerce, law, or a related field; professional insurance certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in claims or insurance operations, particularly in fire and property, is highly beneficial.
