Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based at NURA’s Kozhikode (Calicut) center.

The Civil

Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction, renovation, and maintenance of NURA’s healthcare facilities and related infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing civil engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and monitoring project timelines and budgets. The role also involves managing site layouts, stormwater and drainage systems, structural integrity checks,



and optimizing facility design for patient flow and clinical operations.

The Civil

Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support expansion projects and ensure that all civil works align with NURA’s quality standards and operational requirements.

Qualifications

- Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills, including the ability to develop detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for healthcare facilities.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers on site, with responsibility for Planning and coordination of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage systems, ensuring protected and efficient water flow around healthcare facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency with relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and familiarity with local building codes and standards.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with architects, contractors, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience in healthcare, commercial, or institutional building projects is an advantage.
