Role:
We are seeking a 23 years experienced Airside Geometric Grading Engineer to support the planning and detailed design of airport airside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, rapid exit taxiways, holding bays, aircraft stands and associated airside pavements.
The candidate will be responsible for carrying out geometric design, grading and levels development, preparation of design drawings and coordination with pavement, drainage, utilities, electrical and other airport engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake horizontal and vertical geometric design of airport airside infrastructure in accordance with applicable ICAO, FAA, DGCA and project-specific requirements.
- Develop grading and level designs for:
- Runways and runway strips
- Taxiways and taxiway intersections
- Rapid Exit Taxiways (RET)
- Aprons and aircraft stands
- Holding bays and link taxiways
- Service roads and other airside infrastructure
- Prepare and review longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, grading plans and setting-out drawings.
- Develop grading solutions considering:
- Aircraft operational requirements
- Longitudinal and transverse slopes
- Sight-distance requirements
- Pavement drainage
- Existing ground conditions
- Tie-in with existing airside facilities
- Prepare earthwork quantities and cut-and-fill calculations and assist in optimizing grading to minimize earthworks.
- Develop and maintain Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors and grading models.
- Coordinate airside grading with stormwater drainage, pavement, utilities, AGL, navigational aids and other infrastructure.
- Review topographical survey data and identify discrepancies, constraints and interface issues affecting the design.
- Assist in preparation of detailed design drawings, GFC drawings, design reports, technical specifications and BOQs.
- Carry out design checks against applicable airport geometric design standards.
- Support senior engineers in airport master planning, feasibility studies and detailed engineering design.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination and resolve design interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
- Assist in responding to technical queries from clients, contractors and site teams.
- Review drawings and models prepared by junior team members / CAD technicians, where required.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor''s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
Experience
- 23 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Experience in airport / airside infrastructure design will be preferred.
- Candidates with robust experience in highway geometric design and Civil 3D, and an interest in transitioning to airport engineering, may also be considered.
