Chinese / Pan Asian Chef

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Chinese / Pan Asian Chef to join our kitchen team at Cafe Taivo – Asian Kitchen & Café.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality Chinese and Pan Asian dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Expertise in Chinese wok cooking, noodles, fried rice, sauces, starters and main course dishes.
- Knowledge of popular Pan Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Thai, Korean and Japanese-inspired dishes.
- Maintain consistent taste, portion size and food quality.
- Handle kitchen preparation, mise en place and daily production efficiently.
- Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety standards.
- Control food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
- Work efficiently during busy service hours.




- Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
- Assist in menu development and new dish preparation when required.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chinese / Pan Asian Chef.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese and Pan Asian cooking techniques.
- Good understanding of sauces, seasonings and ingredients used in Asian cuisine.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional kitchen team.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates with experience in premium restaurants, cafes or hotels will be preferred.
