Responsibilities for desktop engineer
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
Imaging desktop, laptops and virtual machines (and maintain the image)
Desktop Security (Manages desktop/laptop/tablet anti-virus and malware detection, analysis, and remediation)
Researching Desktop technology selection
Guiding desktop engineering standards
Providing Tier II support (and Tier 3 support coordination)
Assisting senior level staff members with advanced maintenance and troubleshooting activities
Supporting and participate in current projects as assigned
Providing documentation for service team, end user and Tier I support
Performing moderate to complex system administration tasks across supported technology areas
Qualifications for desktop engineer
Detailed knowledge of automated deployment methodologies and scripting languages
Bachelors degree (preferably in Computer science, Business or related area) or equivalent education, training and related discipline or experience required
5+ years relevant experience with Windows and Mac OS
Prior experience managing technical resources and IT projects
Systems Support and Related Accreditation Certification (or equivalent experience)
Mac experience is a must
