Role Description The Chief Business Officer – Clinical Trials Software Solution is a full time, hybrid role based in Gurugram, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role leads the commercial strategy and growth of Trialion, shaping market positioning, pricing, and go-to-market plans for CROs, biopharma, and medical device customers across India and APAC.

Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing business development activities, building and managing strategic partnerships,



and driving enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.

The Chief Business

Officer collaborates closely with product, engineering, and clinical data teams to align customer needs with platform capabilities, inform product roadmap decisions, and ensure successful deployment and adoption. The role also includes financial planning and forecasting, performance tracking, and building and mentoring a high-performing commercial organization that can scale with the company’s growth.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical, technical, and commercial data and translate insights into clear business strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in finance, including revenue modeling, P&L; ownership, budgeting, and investment planning for SaaS or technology-enabled services.
- Proven business development experience, ideally in clinical trials technology, health tech, or enterprise software, including managing long sales cycles and key accounts.
- Background in consulting or management consulting, with experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and operational optimization in regulated or healthcare environments.
- Extensive leadership experience in commercial or C-level roles, with a track record of building and scaling teams, fostering inclusive collaboration, and mentoring talent.
- Familiarity with clinical trials operations, eClinical platforms, or life sciences industry
