We are looking for a skilled CAE Engineer – Durability/NVH with robust experience in automotive CAE simulation, particularly on Instrument Panel (IP/dashboard) systems and plastic trim components.
The successful candidate will work on structural durability, static and NVH simulation activities using industry-standard CAE tools and collaborate with internal engineering teams and OEM customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned durability, static and NVH load cases.
- Perform modal, shake/vibration and static load analysis.
- Build and run Abaqus simulation models following defined methodologies.
- Apply appropriate boundary conditions and connection methodologies.
- Perform first-level post-processing of simulation results.
- Prepare simulation documentation and maintain traceability.
- Prepare and present technical reports to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Engineer and deliver assigned tasks within the project schedule.
Required Skills
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- 4–6 years of automotive CAE experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structural durability/NVH simulation.
- Mandatory experience in Instrument Panel (IP/dashboard) and plastic trim CAE.
- Strong hands-on experience with Abaqus Standard.
- Experience in implicit static, modal/frequency and nonlinear analysis.
- Proficiency in ANSA and/or HyperMesh for model building and meshing.
- Experience in plastic material modelling.
- Understanding of true stress-strain conversion and Abaqus *PLASTIC.
- Knowledge of RBE2, RBE3, CBUSH, bolted joints and snap connections.
- Good communication and technical presentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting European OEM programs.
- Experience in customer-facing engineering discussions.
- Willingness to work in a shift-based execution environment.
