Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant – Hedge Fund & Private Equity

About the Role

We are looking for a detailed-oriented Fund Accountant to join our team in Mumbai! In this role, you will play a key part in managing daily fund operations, calculating Net Asset Value (NAV), and making sure our financial reporting is accurate and timely. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

* Manage Fund Accounting: Maintain general ledger records for assigned Hedge Funds and Private Equity clients.

- Calculate & Verify NAV: Compute daily/monthly Net Asset Values (NAVs) and analyze any pricing exceptions.
- Perform Reconciliations: Match client ledgers with market data providers, prime brokers, and fund administrators across trades, cash, and portfolio positions.
- Book Financial Transactions: Record trade/non-trade accruals, corporate actions, and fund fees.
- Prepare Financial Statements:



Draft client financial reports following IFRS or US GAAP standards.
- Client Communication: Coordinate with clients and external partners to resolve reconciliation breaks and respond to queries quickly.

What We’re Looking For:

* Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent accounting background.

- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial instruments, investment accounting, and general ledger operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience with fund accounting software or Power BI is a plus).
- Soft Skills: Great communication skills with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Good to Have (Bonus Points):

* Experience in Mutual Fund, Hedge Fund, or Private Equity accounting/audit.

- Certifications in financial products or capital markets.
