Role Description

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to open new accounts for us. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, identifying them, reaching out, understanding their requirements and converting them into long-term customers. This is a role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, hearing "no" often, and staying persistent.

Responsibilities

Lead generation and outreach

- Make outbound calls and send emails to prospective clients to introduce Zorabian's product range Build a prospect list using online platforms, industry directories, trade networks and referrals

- Qualify leads on requirement, volume and buying potential, and maintain a healthy pipeline

- Keep accurate records of all calls, follow-ups and conversion status in Excel and our CRM

Client engagement

- Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries and represent the brand professionally

- Understand client requirements and recommend the right products, pack sizes and pricing

- Coordinate sampling, trials and product presentations





- Follow up consistently through the decision cycle

Closing and account growth

- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals in line with company pricing policy

- Hand over recent accounts cleanly to the operations and supply team

- Maintain relationships with existing clients to drive repeat orders and grow order value

- Work with the sales and marketing teams on campaigns, offers and territory plans

Desired profile of the candidate

- Any bachelor's degree. Freshers with strong communication skills are welcome to apply , 1-3 years in sales, business development or customer service is an advantage

- Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi (spoken)

- Confident on the phone and able to handle objections and rejection professionally

- Working knowledge of MS Excel

- Self-motivated, organised and able to work to targets with minimal supervision

- Willing to travel within Mumbai for client meetings

- Genuine interest in food and FMCG is a plus.
