Role Description The Building Maintenance Supervisor will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru campus in a full-time, on-site role. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, planning and assigning work related to building repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical upkeep, and general facility care. The supervisor will ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed, respond to repair requests promptly, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.

Responsibilities also include monitoring safety standards, maintaining maintenance records,



managing basic inventory of tools and materials, and reporting facility issues to management. The role requires regular inspections of buildings and infrastructure to ensure that all facilities remain safe, clean, and fit for academic and cultural activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience leading maintenance or facility teams.
- Candidates should possess Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM) skills for day-to-day operations and preventive upkeep.
- Candidates should possess Carpentry skills for minor repairs and structural maintenance tasks.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with staff, vendors, and administration.
- Relevant experience in building or campus maintenance, preferably in educational or institutional settings.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance schedules, work orders, and simple technical drawings.
- Minimum of a diploma or certification in facility management, civil/electrical/mechanical trades, or a related field is preferred.
