Job Title : Biomedical Engineering (Max@Home)
JOB PURPOSE
Ensure maintenance of all medical equipment in an productive and cost-effective way and maintain uptime for state-of-the Art medical equipment.
Role & responsibilities
Equipment Management & Technical Support
- Install, calibrate, and deinstall biomedical devices at patient homes as per defined procedures.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for key homecare devices such as oxygen concentrators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, patient monitors, suction machines, and infusion pumps.
- Ensure all equipment adheres to OEM specifications and QAI, ISO, and internal safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with OEMs/service vendors for complex repairs or escalations.
- Maintain equipment uptime, service logs, and calibration records to ensure operational readiness and patient safety.
Rental Operations & Service Delivery
- Manage end-to-end operations of the medical equipment rental service. Ensure timely allocation, dispatch, setup, and retrieval of equipment for homecare patients.
- Respond promptly to service calls, replacements, and emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of rental durations, service schedules, and utilization data.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centric service during all home visits and interactions.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Track and manage inventory of biomedical devices, accessories, and spare parts at the Okhla facility.
- Oversee proper storage, labelling, and handling of all medical equipment. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for equipment movement, replenishment,
and repair tracking.
- Support demand-based planning for resource allocation to optimize utilization.
Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain preventive maintenance and calibration logs for all medical equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to QAI Homecare standards, ISO, and biomedical safety regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports on equipment uptime, utilization, and service performance.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation completeness and quality compliance.
- Vendor & Cross-functional Stakeholder Management.
- Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and service vendors for equipment maintenance, spare parts, and warranty claims.
- Track and ensure adherence to vendor SLAs and service quality parameters.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, operations, nursing, and homecare teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely equipment availability.
- Provide technical training and support to internal staff on safe handling and operation of devices.
- Liaise with sales and product teams for new equipment evaluation, onboarding, and upgrades.
- Maintain clear communication and documentation across all internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile Experience :- 2 to 5 years of experience in biomedical engineering, preferably in hospital, homecare, or medical equipment rental/service operations.
Qualifications :- Diploma / B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering)
