Qualifications and Experience Guidance Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or another directly relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university. An advanced degree may be advantageous but is not a standard requirement.
Experience: Typically 15-20 years of relevant experience, including portfolio oversight, resource planning, and senior technical leadership.
Knowledge: Applicable codes, client/utility requirements, constructability, quality controls, and multidisciplinary interfaces at a depth appropriate to the level.
Technical Skills / Software
Core tools: AutoCAD; Microsoft Excel; ETAP or comparable electrical-analysis tools where assigned; OEM sizing/configuration tools; document-management and approved calculation tools.
Expected proficiency: Sufficient technical depth to govern tool selection, review strategy, capability development, and risk-based oversight; routine hands-on production is not the primary measure of performance.
Reporting / Accountability
Reporting: Typically reports to an Associate Director or Director and leads Managers, project leads, and technical specialists.
Accountability: Accountable for portfolio delivery health, capacity planning, high-risk technical review, discipline standards, leadership development, and recurring-quality improvement.
Professional authority: Management title does not grant P.E., Engineer-of-Record, or stamping authority; these require an applicable active license and separate formal assignment.
