Role Description The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality in Spark Minda’s facilities. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing PLC programs, configuring and troubleshooting automation hardware and sensors, and integrating new equipment into existing production lines. The role involves collaborating with production, maintenance, quality,



and R&D; teams to analyze processes, identify opportunities for automation, and ensure safe, reliable operation of automated systems.

The Automation

Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support root-cause analysis of equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bawal.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
- Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated production lines and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols and integration of sensors, drives, and controllers.
- Familiarity with automotive or component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Capability to work in cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and support on-site operations in Bawal.
- Working knowledge of safety standards, preventive maintenance practices, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry or in large-scale industrial automation projects is preferred.
